After attending the Zoom orientation meeting, Shi Fu emphasized the importance of both writing and speaking.
Writing: I try my best to write the key words that I don’t
understand and translate them. This is extremely useful and important in
helping me to write my reports.
Speaking: I will speak out anything I understand during the small group
session.
In the first lesson video, I caught a key word which appears multiple times,
which is 法身. This word has many definitions such as
life target, life treasure, purpose, direction, value etc. Shi Fu also
mentioned that we are all connected, making me felt to have a sense of
inclusion after hearing it. The M&M’s example was
a real eye-opener as it gave me a realization that internally, we are all the
same, just that our external appearances differ.
Initially I thought 礼敬诸佛 means to pray to the Buddha.
However, after searching on Google, I realized it means to be humble, down to
earth, and respectful to other beings. This is something we practice in our
daily lives, even if not always consciously.
I am looking forward for the 108 prayers tutorial in the up-coming lessons as
I heard many past participants have experienced significant positive changes
and benefits in their daily life.
【Good understanding. While waiting for the learning of 108bows, let’s start with 礼敬诸佛, please share your experience after practicing it.】
