Zhu fu everyone.
I did not attend this online class due
to a job workshop, so I need to repent a bit. Chan hui Chan hui.
Shi Fu emphasized the importance of
following in the Buddha’s footsteps—keeping our hearts open and respecting all
forms of Buddhist sects (North, South, etc.). In the past, I was skeptical and
hesitant to mention that I attended other Shi Fu's classes, fearing I might
offend others or be judged. However, Shi Fu said it doesn’t matter.
Shi Fu also shared that when we
encounter someone we dislike, we should do our best to see their good qualities
and let go of our personal likes and dislikes. At my workplace, there is a
customer with whom I had a conflict. During a blood glucose check, he was
fierce and rude to me and threatened to complain to my boss, which led to
mutual offense. Since then, I chose to ignore him rather than dwell on anger
because Shi Fu said not to use brain or think too much. Treating him as
“invisible” helped me avoid emotional conflict and allowed me to serve other
customers with my best effort. Maybe I should also try to think of some good
qualities in that customer and see if any changes happen in how I feel toward
him?
To inspire others toward enlightenment,
I plan to invite my friends and colleagues to attend Buddhist classes or
activities. However, it seems to be a challenging journey, as most of my peers
are currently uninterested, perhaps they view Buddhism as something only for
older people. I am grateful to my boss, who introduced me to Buddhism when I
first started my job. By the way, I’ve also invited my boss (wun chen xing zhe)
to join this Cha Hui session.
A few weeks ago, I applied for leave to
attend the ZEN SPA meditation retreat. However, my area manager asked me to
keep it in view (KIV) first and questioned whether I had a lot of stress or
thoughts to clear. I explained that the meditation retreat is an excellent way
to cultivate mindfulness and even invited him to join. He hasn’t responded yet,
but I hope that one day he will attend and learn more about Buddhism.
Hopefully, my area manager will approve my leave to join ZEN SPA, and I’ll get
to meet my groupmates in face too.
【Yes, letting go of likes and dislikes, mind and just
reflex — like you did. Wishing you get to go to ZEN SPA,
just like you intended.】
